Patron of Masonry Architect of the Year

On June 14, 2012, the San Antonio Masonry Contractors Association held their annual 'Golden Trowel Award' ceremonies.  This annual event is dedicated to recognize masonry contractors, project owners and designers for excellence in masonry construction.  This year Debra Dockery was recognized as Architect of the Year 2012, for her contributions using masonry in projects of significance.   The Award of 'Patron of Masonry' was presented to her by Dan Martinelly and James Groessbeck of the SAMCA.  The San Antonio Masonry Contractors Association initiated this award commencing in the year 2010.  Debra Dockery was the first to be recognized for this honor in 2010.  Debra, in her acceptance speech, commended the masonry contractors and the Association for their craftsmenship and dedication to masonry construction and design.  As one of the oldest crafts, masonry contractors have maintained a high standard of excellence in this field and Debra congratulated all those present for their dedication in exellence in masonry construction.
